We support the 58,000 or so students in the Stuttgart university region with services such as food, accommodation, childcare, BAföG and counseling. And we have been doing this for more than 100 years! For more than 100 years! In our nine refectories and nine cafeterias, we provide students with affordable and healthy food, snacks and drinks close to the university. The Stuttgart-Vaihingen canteen has two floors and offers a burger bar on the first floor where you can put together your own favorite burger and a special offer counter. For our canteen on the university campus in Stuttgart-Vaihingen, we are looking for a

Kitchen employee (m/f/d)

part-time with 50% scope of employment

• Together with your colleagues, you are an important interface between our guests and the kitchen. You not only support the physical well-being of our guests, but also give our canteen a "face" through your friendly reception of guests at the food counter.</li
• You will help prepare the food and make homemade pasta, salads and desserts, for example. You will also support our cooks in preparing the food
• You will then serve the food directly to our guests - including at the live cooking stations.</li
• Working at special events, e.g. including in our food truck.
• In addition, you will clean the kitchen, kitchen appliances and cookware and implement our HACCP manual.</li

• You have professional experience in the catering industry, ideally in system catering
• You are well versed in handling food and food hygiene (HACCP)
• You enjoy interacting with guests and understand German well, which means you can express yourself clearly in conversations, but also read texts (easily).
• You enjoy dealing with international customers and ideally speak English.</li
• You enjoy working in a team.

• Regulated, family-friendly working hours, mainly from Monday to Friday during opening hours
• As a rule, you will work the lunch shift from approx. 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. as well as four to six special events per year in the evening or at the weekend

• Varied tasks with an employer with a high level of social responsibility
• Pay according to the collective agreement of the federal states with pay group 2 TV-L (1,252.25 € to 1,383.81 € per month depending on previous experience) plus annual special payment
• Employer contribution of €825 to €912 p.a. to the company pension scheme with the VBL (depending on salary range)
