Bachelor (B.Sc.) in Marine Engineering

• General (technical) university entrance qualification or aspired Abitur, with at least good to very good grades in mathematics, physics, German and English
• Technical understanding and interest as well as an affinity for seafaring
• Logical and analytical thinking skills and a good command of German and English
• Ideally initial practical experience through internships or part-time jobs

• A Bachelor of Science degree in ship operation technology and as a technical watch officer in cooperation with the University of Wismar in 5 years
• In the 1st year: employment as a technical officer’s assistant (m/f/d) on board the AIDA ships, including basic safety training in the Rostock training center, two weeks of basic maritime training on a sail training ship and 7 weeks of metal training on land
• 4-year Bachelor’s degree course in ship operation technology: imparting specialist knowledge in technical ship operation and about the systems and equipment on board as well as detailed knowledge for cruise shipping
• Internship time on board: application-oriented implementation of the acquired knowledge
• Individual development and promotion of your professional and personal skills and competencies
